Please join us in welcoming Hilary Sparkman, our new Athletic Trainer. Hilary will join Kristy Kyser in our Sports Medicine Department. Hilary spent most of her childhood in Thailand as her parents served in foreign missions for 30+ years. She obtained her undergraduate degree in Exercise Science from Union University in Jackson, Tennessee and then earned her Master of Science in Athletic Training from Texas A&M University as a distinguished honors graduate in May 2015. In August of 2015, Hilary moved to Beijing, China where she was an Athletic Trainer for the Western Academy of Beijing and International School of Beijing, as well as a contract Athletic Trainer for club teams in various sports as well as NFL China. Hilary has served boys and girls in nine different sports, making her a great fit for our athletic department. Welcome Hilary!
SOR Volleyball kicked off early August, and with a few games under their belts, are off to a great start. The varsity team won the Gold Consolation bracket at the Wimberley TexFest tournament and finished 5th place overall. Congratulations to Senior Outside Hitter, Caroline Grace, for being named to the All-Tournament team. The varsity team enters the fourth week of season, 6-2. Both the JV and Freshman teams are undefeated. Come support your Lady Knights at home on September 6 as they take on St. Andrews. Game Times begin at 5:00, 6:00, and 7:00 pm.
