Please be advised that we do not watch children left unattended on campus after school. Parents must supervise their students during after-school waiting periods for a lesson, and be prompt collecting them after lessons.
Students are expected to attend lessons regularly, come to all lessons on time, and with necessary music and supplies.
Students who are late to a lesson will only receive the remaining portion of their lesson. No makeup time will be offered for tardiness or a missed lesson.
If school is not in session there will not be a lesson. This includes half days and overnight field trips. Students are not billed for these lesson days.
Cancellations from the teacher will be made up or money refunded. This includes severe weather conditions and unexpected school closings.
If a student is planning to miss a lesson and/or must unexpectedly skip, the parent is responsible for contacting the teacher. Student absences will be made up ONLY upon the availability and the discretion of the teacher.
Please be considerate in letting the teacher know with as much advance notice as possible about missing lessons so the teacher can make other arrangements. It is important that students attend all lessons to honor the commitment teachers have made to Regents and the student.
If you need to speak to your teacher contact her/him directly via email or phone. Do not call the Regents office or leave a message unless it is an emergency.
Books & Supplies
Purchase of supplementary music and supplies to enhance learning at various times during the year will be required. Payment will be settled individually with the teacher. A small assignment notebook or metronome may be necessary for music students.
Students are expected to practice on a regular basis in accordance to their teacher’s expectations. Their performance in each lesson will reflect the quality of practice they did outside of the lesson.
There are recitals at the end of each semester. All students are encouraged to participate. In addition there will be opportunities to perform for other events throughout the year at Regents announced by the teacher.
