What is a harkness? It exemplifies what Regents attempts to foster: proper knowledge that validates itself via true, natural dialogue; it is the opportunity to see the 'good man speaking well.’ It is also the opportunity to see the fruit of a Regents grammar and SOL education. Sit on the sidelines and experience one of the distinctives of a classical education as SOR students challenge, explore, and debate with each other. On October 9 they’ll observe students in Dr. Bullock’s apologetics class and on October 28 they’ll observe students in Mr. Simmons junior history class. Both sessions will be from 11:30-12:25 p.m. at the harkness table outside the college advising office on the 2nd floor of the SOR building. Whether you’re casting a vision for your younger child or understanding what your SOR child participates in daily, you’ll be inspired.
