Introductory Letter from Board and Head of School
A Process for Planning:
Fall 2007: Regents Board of Directors and Head of School began dialogue to enhance the strategic planning process.
Winter 2008: Board and Head of School clarified many of the elements of Regents' unique school culture and the emphasis on the school's mission and founding convictions. As a result, they developed a set of guiding themes.
Spring 2008: Head of School conducted mission-based conversations through several Huddles with the Head in April. These culminated in a public meeting in May where the Head summarized feedback.
Summer 2008: The Strategic Plan Committee SPC was comissioned to begin work on formulating a strategic plan.
Fall 2008: The Committee conducted a quantitative online survey of the Regents community. The first draft of the strategic plan was presented to the Board of Directors for review. Based on the broad topics raised in the qualitative conversations with the SPC, a survey was developed.
Winter 2009: The Head of School assimilated the results of the community feedback, board discussions and the draft plan into a revised plan.
Spring 2009: The Board of Directors made final review, comment, and approval at the April 2nd board meeting.
